TennisWhere ("we", "us") runs tenniswhere.com, a directory of tennis courts and clubs. This policy explains what we collect when you subscribe to email alerts, why, and the control you have over it.

What we collect when you subscribe

• Your email address — so we can send the alerts you asked for.
• Approximate location — the city (and the coordinates of the page you subscribed from) so alerts are relevant to where you play. We store a coarse location, not your precise device GPS.
• Your interests — which topics you opted into (players to hit with, tournaments, local events).
• Consent record — the date, time, and page of your subscription, kept to comply with anti-spam law.

How we use it

We use your email and preferences only to send the tennis alerts you opted into. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties for their own marketing.

Consent & unsubscribing

Subscriptions use double opt-in: after you sign up we email you a confirmation link, and you only receive alerts once you click it. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time — we honor removals promptly. This is consistent with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the US CAN-SPAM Act.

Where your data lives

Subscriber records are stored in our database hosted on Cloudflare. Confirmation, welcome, and alert emails are delivered through our email provider (Resend). We retain your record until you unsubscribe, after which it is suppressed so we don't email you again.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting product analytics (PostHog) to understand which pages are useful. This is separate from your subscription and is used in aggregate.

Your rights
