The Palgrave Tennis Club

The club runs adult daytime and evening competitive teams (Intercounty A and B, Doubles Interclub A and B) playing in leagues versus other clubs with matches scheduled weekdays May-August, requiring travel for away matches, with divisions by gender and by level (4.0+ and 2.5+). Several teams have won championships in recent years (2022-2024). Junior competitive opportunities include OTA-sanctioned tournaments (e.g., Girls.Set.Match) with required OTA membership, and Adult/Child Doubles tournaments segmented by age. Club Championships include Mixed Doubles with champions and finalists listed annually.

Programs include Saturday youth lessons, junior tournaments for youth 10+ with some experience, Girls.Set.Match OTA events for girls U10/U14, Adult/Child Doubles tournaments, kid games and crafts at family socials, and youth tournaments with prizes, social activities, snacks, and refreshments. Some activities require OTA membership for competitive play.

Group lessons run on Saturdays for both youth and adults, offered during the start of the season and ongoing on a scheduled basis.

Regular social events throughout the season include Family Fun Social night (with pizza, games, crafts, and tennis matches for adults and children), Opening Day breakfast (pancakes), OTA Smash Cage events, AGM, and tournaments with food, prizes, and refreshments. Junior and adult events feature social components, catering, and family-friendly games/activities.
